The original (bottom) was done
in 2003- I call this one
"Cool Beans". I stretched a
canvas reproduction, and it's
been hanging around for a while.
Recently, I finally painted into it~
remixing it! I call this one

Dragon Fly Ring- Light, In Between, Dark

Ice Fire Maiden

acrylic on archival inkjet on canvas (giclee)- 1998-2008
14"x 21"
x 2"

The original, which this version is based on, was done with pastel, & acrylic on watercolor paper, and is also 14" x 21"- 1998 & "finished" 2004. In 2008, I scanned it, did some digital coloring with photoshop, and then had it printed on canvas (giclee=archival inkjet print on canvas, paper, etc.). Then I stretched the canvas on bars, and again painted on it with acrylics. It's a wacky process with many steps, but it's been fun.  I consider this version to be just as original as the original.  I've been doing more pieces in a similar process lately- thus, you'll see the dates on several images span several years.

The brown-earthy colors are actually a copper/bronze metallic paint- kind of shiny!
